Friends

I have been visiting this week with friends. Yesterday was with my good friend Carla and her four kids, they are homeschooled so they are home when I was there. We had a great time. We chatted about everything, politics, sports, religion, clothing.. you name it. While we talked we made a great big salad with the kids. I had brought the ingredients for a Pioneer Woman's favorite salad. This salad is HUGE, so I wanted to make it with them and eat it for lunch and then bring leftovers home for supper. Its only good for one day, its gets slimy after that. The kids did such a great job, and her youngest Steven decided to play a game with it, he was at cooking school with his teacher "Mrs. Ray" it was such a blast and made me miss my kids and the days when they were young and played games like that. They loved the salad, and they now have a new recipe to make! Today Pat came over and we had sausage sandwich, with roasted cauliflour and had a great time chatting about stuff also. We will see what the rest of the week will hold for visiting.

I was just talking today about how I missed those ages too when everything was fun. I don't think I miss it enough to have another one though ;-)
