I like to try new things. I get bored with the same old bread. How about Pita bread? Well, the first time it was delicious but flat, no pocket at all. Second time, still good, a small puff pocket, but THIRD a great big puff pocket!! The trick was a piece of tin foil rather then a cookie sheet or stone. Can't wait to have them with Country Captain's Chicken tonight!

School Valentines

Many (many) years ago our first son had his first valentines party at school, for some reason I had in my head that we could not just go buy a pack of pre-made valentines cards for 1.00 and give them out. oh no, we had to MAKE our own, which is involved construction paper, glue, staples, tape, markers, ect.. you name it we needed it. Well as I said that was a long time ago that we first started and now 15 plus years later and countless parties we are still at it! Today I was out looking for supplies thinking why oh why did I ever get myself into this homemade valentines mess, but truly we have fun doing it once we get going and its just my daughter left giving out valentines cards, my boys are too old for that stuff now :(
I think we will probably make our usual heart mice with a lollipop sticking out for a tail.
